The operational and commercial needs of the Spanish railway operator (RENFE) require power control center to not only perform traditional functions (supervisory & control) but also support many of the new functions, specifically to meet the needs of competition with deregulation. The aim of this project is to establish the requirements of new RENFE power control centers. The proposal architecture must take into account the requirements of real-time data, security, availability, scalability, information exchange, etc.
